About The Hoppy Crust

Textures, designs and flavors!

The Ingredients

FWSY & Beer

Flour, Water, Salt & Yeast is all it takes to make an amazing loaf of bread.  Add in the last ingredient that is ever changing and unique for each brewery, batch and season.

The Flavor

Our secret

Our preparation process ensures the bitterness clash between the alcohol and bread yeast used together is removed letting flavor of your favorite craft shine!  Light and crisp IPA... Bold and complex Porter... Sweet & Savory Nut Brown Ale... Tart & Fruitty Sours... flavor perfection!

The "Art" in Artisan

It's more than just presentation

The art of bread making is more than just looks and the fun scoring designs... It's the density, hydration levels, flavor pairings with specific types of bread, the methods of balancing depth and the intensity of the flavor.  This is the art of bread making!

The Toppings

Butter, Jam, Honey...

We have a suggested pairing to to maximize flavors for your occasion.  Sweet, Savory, or just some traditional butter as a topping.  Use a recommendation or experiment endless combinations on your own!

About Me!

Information Technology Systems Engineer by day, Father by night, bread enthusiast on the weekends!  I love being in a kitchen, being able to make food for others and see the enjoyment and togetherness fills me with joy!

I started a personal bread book in 2012 after I made my 1st beginners loaf in a dutch oven. It was a no knead overnight loaf.  I immediately saw a blank canvas and combined with my love of cooking I started to experiment with flavors that paired with weekend meals.  Years of learning later I've revisited that bread book and put my gained  knowledge to work,  continuing to experiment and refining the recipes and flavor concepts that started it all.  Rewarding on so many levels!

I hope you come to enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them!
